The middle option

What roof rejuvenation is

Asphalt shingles start out flexible because they're full of oils that let them expand, contract, and shed water. As a roof ages, those oils dry out. The shingles get brittle, start to curl, and lose the granules that protect them — the slow wear that eventually ends in a leak.

Rejuvenation — sometimes called shingle roof restoration — restores some of that lost flexibility. It's a real middle option between two extremes most homeowners think are their only choices: do nothing and watch the roof keep degrading, or tear the whole thing off before it's truly necessary.

For a roof that's aging but still sound, that middle option can mean getting more good years out of what you already have.

The treatment

How APX Roof Renew works

A straightforward, plant-based treatment applied right to your existing roof.

01

Soy-based, applied on-site

The treatment is a soy-based product applied across the roof surface. It's plant-derived, not a coating or a paint that sits on top.

02

It absorbs into the shingles

Rather than sitting on the surface, it penetrates the asphalt and restores flexibility to shingles that have dried out with age.

03

The roof keeps doing its job

More flexible shingles shed water and hold their granules better, so the roof keeps protecting your home instead of continuing to degrade.

It's not magic and it's not for every roof — a shingle that's already failed can't be brought back. But on the right roof, restoring flexibility before the shingles crack is a practical way to hold off a full replacement.

The honest part

Is your roof a candidate?

APX Roof Renew isn't right for every roof, and we won't pretend otherwise. Here's the straight version of who it's for — and who it isn't.

A good fit

  • Asphalt-shingle roofs that are aging but still structurally sound
  • Shingles showing early drying or brittleness — not active failure
  • Some granule loss, but the roof is still keeping water out
  • Homeowners who'd rather extend a good roof than replace it early

Not a fit

  • Roofs that are already failing or leaking in multiple spots
  • Heavy storm or hail damage that needs a replacement
  • Shingles that are cracked, torn, or missing across the roof
  • Roofs simply too far gone for a treatment to help

We inspect first, for free, and give you a straight answer — even if the answer is that your roof doesn't need us yet, or needs more than a treatment can do.

Two levels of service

Choose the scope that fits

Two ways to do it, described by what's included. We'll help you pick the right one at your inspection.

Level 1

Basic

The rejuvenation treatment, backed by a real warranty.

  • A candidacy inspection first — we only treat roofs that qualify
  • The APX Roof Renew soy-based rejuvenation treatment, applied on-site across your full roof
  • Before & after photos of the treated roof
  • A workmanship warranty on the work — exact terms in writing with your estimate
  • Done in a single visit — no tear-off, nothing hauled away
Level 2

Premium

Everything in Basic, plus full roof upkeep while we're up there.

  • Everything in Basic — the treatment, before & after photos, and the workmanship warranty
  • A written inspection report on your roof's condition
  • Exposed-nail repairs across the roof
  • Replacement of worn pipe boots
  • Damaged flashing repaired
  • Proper ventilation installed, where your roof needs it
  • A gutter cleaning while we're up there

Which level makes sense depends on what your roof needs, and we'll walk through it with you during the free inspection.

The honest off-ramp

If your roof is past renewal

Sometimes the inspection shows a roof is simply too far gone — the shingles have already failed, or there's damage a treatment can't fix. When that's the case, rejuvenation isn't the answer, and we'll tell you plainly. From there we'll walk you through roof replacement and, if a storm was involved, help with the insurance claim.

Questions

Grand Junction roof renew FAQ

What is roof rejuvenation?

A treatment that restores flexibility to aging asphalt shingles. As shingles get older they lose the oils that keep them pliable and start to dry out and turn brittle — rejuvenation puts some of that flexibility back so the roof keeps doing its job longer.

How does APX Roof Renew work?

It's a soy-based treatment applied to the roof. It absorbs into the shingles and restores flexibility, helping them shed water and hold their granules instead of continuing to dry out and crack.

How do I know if my roof is a candidate?

Good candidates are asphalt-shingle roofs that are aging but still sound — some drying or brittleness, not active failure. We inspect first, for free, and give you a straight answer on whether your roof is a fit.

Is this instead of a new roof?

When your roof still has life in it, rejuvenation can be a real alternative to replacing it early. If the inspection shows the roof is too far gone, we'll tell you that and walk you through replacement instead.

What's the difference between the two service levels?

Basic is the rejuvenation treatment with before-and-after photos and a workmanship warranty. Premium adds a written inspection report, exposed-nail repairs, pipe boot replacement, damaged-flashing repairs, ventilation where the roof needs it, and a gutter cleaning. We go over which one fits during your free inspection.

Do you offer Roof Renew across the Western Slope?

Yes — Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Clifton, Orchard Mesa, Fruitvale, Loma, Mack, and out across the Western Slope.
